Returning from Washington DC this week and a much criticised President, I hope the same thing doesn’t happen with the new government over here. With even more barriers to success, the coalition needs strong leadership and lots of PMA to chart stormy waters after less than euphoric beginnings, a benefit Obama had.
Living up to expectations is the challenge marketers have to face every day and in that respect (only?) we are similar to national leaders. Marketing always promises what it can deliver and is focused very much on the future. Can the same be said for business leaders? Are we using the recession too much as an excuse at the moment? Are we failing to plan? To take risks?
