Chester student joins Marketing PRojects
Claire Gibbs, a 21-year-old second year student studying journalism and creative writing has joined the Marketing PRojects team on an internship required by the university.
Marketing PRojects has worked with Chester University on many occasions before and this was another opportunity to work with the ‘modern, dynamic and enterprising university’. Helping out with local education is something which is important to Marketing PRojects and benefits the local economy.
Jane Harrad-Roberts, Managing Director of Marketing PRojects said:
“Marketing PRojects has helped the university out with guest lecturing and job fairs in the past and I recently sat on a panel of creative media experts to support students there. As ambassador for education for the Chartered Institute of Marketing I often visit Cheshire schools, giving tutorials on marketing and working in the sector. Marketing PRojects is an experienced marketing & PR consultancy offering ‘help, not just advice’ to organisations and this is also what we are offering Claire. She isn’t going to be stuck filing and making tea, she’ll be right in the thick of it, organising events, sending out press releases and learning how business works.”
Claire from Leicestershire is unsure of what particular field she wants to go into after university but stated:
“I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work with such a prestigious company. I’ve been thrown right into the deep end and have learnt so much in the first few days. Even though Jane is constantly busy she’s been able to find time to help me understand what makes the difference in business. I can’t wait to see what else I’ll know by the end of the placement.”
Jane added;
“We need to be able to attract the best and most able students to the region and provide great work opportunities to keep them here when they finish their studies.”
Claire is with Marketing PRojects until July.
