Marketing Projects Comes Out On Top
Marketing Projects, the Chester & London based PR and marketing consultancy launched a new website this year with the help of Chester based company, Ziggurat. Thanks to the new website, a Global Google search for “Marketing North West”, returns Marketing Projects at number one position out of thousands of other results.
Since the new site, designed and developed by Ziggurat (ziggurat.co.uk) was introduced, Google also returns Marketing Projects at the number one position out of over 30 million results in a search for the company name.
Marketing Projects is extremely pleased with how much the new website has increased its profile and visibility on search engines. Managing Director, Jane Harrad-Roberts, commented; “We’ve had a web site throughout all of our ten years in business, winning a DTI e-commerce award for it in 1999 when we used London based designers. It had not be redesigned for the last four years and we were also aware of the new regulations for web sites concerning disability access and needed to act on them. We are thrilled that not only are our clients finding it an easier site to use, we are getting more business from the internet and more people are finding us there. We’ve had an ongoing battle to be top of the rankings with a company called Marketing Projects Inc. in the US and have now come out top. We registered marketingprojects.com ten years ago as well as the .co.uk domain. A company’s online presence is so important.”
Director of Ziggurat Limited, Bill Holt, said; “The Marketing Projects web site was redesigned to achieve a more professional and cleaner look. It was also redeveloped to be W3C web standards compliant and accessible. Marketing Projects is a people focused business and the new site reflects its ongoing commitment to providing the best possible access to its services. Innovation on the web means technology is constantly evolving and organisations need to continue to develop their web sites to remain competitive.” He added; “We have a growing portfolio of clients who enjoy the benefits of keeping their web sites up to date, a site developed two years ago will most probably be past its ‘sell-by-date’”.
Marketing Projects’ website has been redeveloped so that potential and current clients can have their own press office specially designed for journalists to download images and news quickly. This can either be an extension of a client’s own web site or stand alone for press use. ‘Xpress News™’, has also been launched for organisations needing occasional press coverage. The service allows a press release to be distributed out on behalf of the client, for a small cost of £199, or with follow ups, for £249.
