Public relations’ activities help to build & maintain reputation, aiming to earn awareness and influence opinions or behaviour. It is the planned and sustained effort to establish and maintain goodwill and to build mutual understanding between an organisation and those the organisation seeks to influence.
There are times too when you might not want to be in the media spotlight. Most organisations call this crisis management. Our experienced Issues Management Team can help you pre-plan and manage effectively and on time throughout, neutralizing the negatives and accentuating the positives in any story.
What about results?
Successful public relations were traditionally evaluated by measuring the total media coverage achieved on your behalf. Here at Marketing PRojects, we know that counting column centimetres does not give the whole picture or generate sales. In addition, nobody can control the media or predict significant events that might distract editors from your planned activities. Marketing Projects will use viral and Web 2.0 (social networking) technology, events and direct approaches not just traditional PR, to spread your word. We work harder and smarter for success.
How you measure success will depend on what you seek to achieve. Marketing Projects can help you to plan and research before and after a campaign. We set actionable and measurable objectives to evaluate progress, to ensure value for money, deliver success and meet business objectives.
"Marketing PRojects has produced fantastic results, helping to increase our growing presence. We have been impressed by the proactive and efficient work they have produced, all within a short period of notice, and would not hesitate to recommend them to any company."

"We contact Marketing Projects to help with our ‘iPad in Business’ event. Marketing Project generated pre-event awareness quickly through telemarketing, social media and press coverage. The event went very smoothly with Marketing Projects support on the day and we achieved great post event press coverage and were supplied all the reports we needed for feedback to Apple UK." As a result of the event we have generated firm enquiries for products and services, and sales of iPads. I would have no hesitation in using them again.

I have worked with Marketing Projects in conjuction with Cucina, for six years. They’re well organised, have good industry knowledge, good press contacts and always plan ahead, contributing to their own and client success.
Thank you very much to you and your team for all your work with the case studies. We are delighted with the end result and feel that the work fits completely. Work was kept very close to the brief and the results were achieved on time! We also appreciated being kept up to date on progress. The article for Vodafone is exactly what we are looking for and there are some great quotes in there. Once again many thanks and should we need to complete any work similar to this in the future we will not hesitate to contact you.”

The team from Marketing PRojects has been working with The Queen’s School, Chester, on public relations since 2004 and has overseen the creation and distribution of over 500 press releases during this time. Marketing PRojects has extended the services provided to the school from public relations to marketing consultancy and advertising support and I have been delighted by the way in which the company has risen to the challenge. We now have in place a successful advertising and public relations strategy which has supported our continuing growth in a challenging market sector. Marketing PRojects helped us to raise our profile in the media and so attract more parents and pupils to the school. The company became a key part in The Queen's School's new marketing strategy. I am very grateful for the support that they offered to us at this crucial time. Marketing PRojects has always proved to be flexible, innovative, responsive and effective in providing help, advice and support to the school and I have no hesitation in recommending them further.

“We were recommended Marketing Projects as a company who could help us both with our established business and our start-up. Marketing Projects helped us with the successful launch of Security Designers and all its subsequent press coverage to date in the national, computing, IT and specialist press. We soon realised that Marketing Projects' skills extended beyond public relations. They helped us with our debut exhibition, with road shows, adverts, collateral, the web site and our marketing strategy. Marketing Projects became part of our team, actually understood our value proposition and undertook work for us above and beyond our expectations. They had good, creative ideas which we had every confidence would work well because of their knowledge of the industry and excellent contacts. Particularly impressive was that editors and journalists would contact them asking for news stories and updates, and that Marketing Projects would often work late into the night to deliver what was needed to ensure coverage. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending Marketing Projects further.

Marketing Projects has been working with EXi telecoms since 1997 when they were asked to work on press relations for EXi telecoms. They also helped with our early brochures and adverts and our presence at the TMA exhibition in Brighton. I joined EXi telecoms in 2000 and Marketing Projects has continued press and public relations work for us, also assisting us as an external consultant for the new global web site launched during 2000. We have found their advice and services to be invaluable, using their copywriting skills to help win over 12 awards during 2001/2 and their web site for enhanced contact with the media. We have relied on their skills to keep us both in and out of the media which they have achieved well. Memorable occasions included high profile contract wins, world-wide office launches, training scheme initiatives and award wins. We look forward to future business together and to hearing about their plans for growth.”

“Thank you for your continuing marketing help and support over the past 12 months. We believe our investment with you has been well spent and can attribute business directly to our subsequent marketing and PR activities. Many thanks to you and your team at Marketing Projects.”

Marketing Projects did a fantastic job for the IoD. Thank you. We really appreciate what you do for us and sometimes we may seem to take it for granted. Please be assured we do not. Congratulations on an excellent newsletter. The progress in the past 2 years is outstanding. Well done.

Well done on the coverage from yesterday! Mail and Telegraph plus this one from Press Gazette.
"Marketing Projects worked with PSP NW and quickly established a close and effective partnership with us. They helped establish an early campaign to build relations with MPs and achieved an excellent response rate. At the same time they worked proactively to establish PSP as a source of sound media comment and achieved an excellent position for us with national press and radio; without their skills we would have taken far longer and would probably never have achieved a comparable position. Our thanks to the Team at Marketing Projects for all their help and support – your expertise undoubtedly led directly to our success."

"Since Jane has become involved in marketing and pr activities with Urban Hair we have seen a tremendous upsurge in the amount of customers coming through the doors and our profile has gone up within the city. Jane has achieved great coverage within the local newspapers and has managed to get me a regular hair and beauty column. Also, nationally Jane has achieved good coverage in industry magazines and recently Urban Hair got down to the final two choices for a major television series thanks to Jane's hard work and persistence."

“Jane does a great job and we could not do it without her. Attendance figures at the three day event at Easter increased massively to more than 16,000 this year and that is in no small part down to Jane's hard work. Jane is an experienced negotiator, who has helped achieve cross party support from among others the Council, as well as many other agencies to make the Food & Drink Festival the great event it has become."

“What a fabulous, glittering and glamorous event! I absolutely agree with Barrie. The official regional premiere showcased the City brilliantly and gave our private sector partners the opportunity to highlight what they can do superbly well, too. Marketing Projects secured positive, high-profile media coverage and deserve special praise for their role. NW Tonight did a great interview with Daniel and he made some great comments about the North West. You were stars last night.”

"Having been in business for more than 18 years, Marketing Projects is the best public relations company we have used. Marketing Projects has gained more coverage for us since we started using them in August last year, than we have had in the past five years."

Jane D is well impressed with the Tate event!! She loved what you sent her! She said this is probably the best thing in Europe we have done. Marketing Projects were the only people to follow the brief properly. Well done you guys!!!

“Thanks for all this, good job. My technical partner Steve, who thinks all marketing is wishy-washy nonsense, actually said he was very impressed with the job you did! You would have to know him to realize the full weight of the compliment.”

For more than five years Jane Harrad Roberts and her team at Marketing Projects have done an impressive and professional job looking after PR for the Institute of Directors in the North West, not only successfully helping to raise the profile of the IoD across the region, but also going beyond the call of duty and positively impacting on other areas of the IoD's work. Marketing Projects will go that extra mile to achieve results. IoD North West is regarded as one of the most successful of the IoD regions. Jane's influence and contribution to its reputation locally, regionally and indeed nationally, cannot be underestimated. Jane has created a first class business in Marketing Projects. She has achieved a great deal and is well respected by all at the IoD and by the wider business community.

“Hi Jane, I’ve just had an e-mail from the Sunday Times telling me that The Best Of has achieved a place on the Sunday Times/Microsoft Tech Track 100, This is great recognition for everyone involved in the Best Of - and that includes you. Thank You.”

“We were recommended Marketing Projects as an organisation that could work with us to launch Chester Performs and handle public and press relations beyond this. The launch event was a big success with press and multimedia there. We’d aimed for 40 attendees and 44 came, 40% of our invited guests, a mix of interested dignitaries and the key arts and performance professionals across the North West. Marketing Projects was responsible for all liaisons with guests and the press, their attendance and the running of the event. It went very smoothly and we received much praise afterwards. Their PR activities following covered two areas for us; our programme of events and the new Performing Arts Centre planned for the city, a sensitive development project. We were particularly pleased with the front page, in depth article in the Chester Chronicle for the revised plans for the new Centre. Also, their ability to gain local press coverage, often at short notice, to maximise event attendance. They use their own photos too, which saves costs. We will soon have our own in-house PR function with a new strategy manager, a measure of Marketing Projects’ ability to demonstrate the importance of PR. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who needed effective PR and marketing support.”
I've been working with Marketing Projects on PR for more than a year now and I am very impressed; They don't stop getting us coverage when the press release goes out but keep on going, maximising our coverage. Our previous PR agency were based a distance away and did not know the Cheshire and Shropshire areas, but Marketing Projects know the North West area so well and have so many contacts which means they present additional PR opportunities to me, such as the cheese rolling down Bridge Street in Chester, which was free publicity. They organised mentions for HillValley on BBC Radio 2 and also on BBC North West Tonight on the lunch time and evening slots. They also presented me with further radio interview opportunities including an hour long conversation on Cheshire FM. Marketing Projects go that step further than other PR agencies; Marketing Projects have produced a DVD for both years we have staged the One Pot Cook Off, as an added value service on top of writing and distributing the release - I am delighted with our PR coverage and would thoroughly recommend Marketing Projects, who provide a full and excellent value PR service.

Breath of fresh air, really got to know our business quickly, fun to work with, help & support on strategic issues as well as great local and national coverage ... certainly applies, but it’s a bit deeper than that; we have a partnership based on mutual respect and it doesn’t come much better than that, there is a real cultural fit. Operationally, the 24/7 capability really does work, tested to its limit recently with an unwanted explosion in a block of flats. The local and indeed national coverage went as smoothly as it possibly could; can’t ask for anything more. Also take the visit from the Housing Minister, a seamless event for all concerned and it is without doubt that would not have been as effective, both before, on the day and afterwards without Marketing Projects. We are all working to the same end, that’s about our customers and communities and you certainly understand that, contributing to our strategic growth in that area. Our annual report is now a wrap around of a local paper, different to anything else in our sector, it costs less, hits more customers and raises our profile in the best possible way; communicating what the trust is about to all stakeholders at every level.* Receptive to new ideas, responsive, achieving much and adding real value to the business as part of the team. On every level, well done all and thank you! (CDHT’s annual report was shortlisted for the 2009 Best low budget campaign in the North West Public Service Communications Awards.)

Jane and her team from Marketing Projects were appointed at a time of growth for our organisation and their skills and experience in communications really helped with that aspiration. Marketing Projects helped to put our organisation at the forefront with positive news releases taking place each week; we became noted for all of the innovative things we were involved in. We would be asked regularly by others how we managed to receive so many positive news stories – Marketing Projects. Providing a 24/7 service, Marketing Projects ensured that when we did have a crisis the communications were handled seamlessly and information was received quickly by those who needed to know what was happening. Their awareness of the public and third sectors was particularly valuable to us and they made a number of useful introductions and ideas to help us promote our vision and objectives. Jane and her team also supported our regular colleagues and residents events such as our Colleagues’ Conference, helping to make them fun but well-organised events.
