Waltons keeps perfect time at Pageant of Power
Chester based jewellers Waltons sponsored the spectacular Pageant of Power at Cholmondeley Castle.
The event, now in its third year, featured displays, exhibitions and trials of the best in historic sports and racing cars, boats and helicopters, culminating in prizes for the fastest bike, car and boat. Waltons was working with luxury watch brand Breitling to ensure the success of the event and a worthy prize for the winners.
Waltons had their own marquee, which was extended from last year, where customers could see the latest collections of Breitling watches on display with the magnificent backdrop of Cholmondeley Castle. Various celebrities spent time on the Waltons stand, including World Superbike star Tom Sykes. Just behind the Waltons marquee were some of the most exclusive helicopters in the world, one of which had a price tag of £13 million.
Richard Hogben, General Manager of Waltons of Chester, presented Breitling watches to the race winners following measured timings for all events from Breitling. Also presenting the prizes were the Marquess of Cholmondeley and Tim Bradley, Northern Sales Manager for Breitling. Winners included Nick Faulkner, who won the fastest car overall and fastest lap in his Lamborghini Gallardo.
Speaking at the prize-giving ceremony, James Hall, Pageant of Power Director, said:
“The event goes from strength to strength. The best part is to be surrounded by enthusiasts – the public are adoring the event as well.”
Richard Hogben added:
“We were really pleased to be at this fantastic family event, which is getting bigger every year with more than 40,000 visitors this year. It is fabulous to have this event on our doorstep. Breitling watches are a firm favourite amongst our customers; it is wonderful to be associated with such an exciting brand. Cholmondeley Castle is the perfect setting for an historic motoring event of this kind and we have had a superb weekend here. We have had great feedback from our customers and look forward to supporting the event again next year.”
