Cheshire Jets gets Chester's business community in a spin

The Cheshire Jets and thebestofchester literally put thebestofchester members in a spin when they announced a Strategic Partnership for the 2009/10 basketball season.

The Jets and thebestofchester held an event at Double Trees Hilton in Hoole to formalise the partnership in front of 35 leading members of Chester’s business community.

The Cheshire Jets become official partners with the thebestofchester after both businesses saw the potential of working together to develop strong links between Chester’s most successful sporting team and the business sector in Chester.

Thebestofchester owner Paul Daniels said;
“I’m delighted to be announcing Cheshire Jets as the first and only official partner of thebestofchester. They are the market leaders for sport and community engagement in Chester and the surrounding area. I want to emphasise that it will be a proactive partnership that will increase our brand profile and the profile of all the thebestofchester members. Through working with the Jets I hope to continue to create opportunities for us to develop relationships that benefit businesses in our city.”

Director of The Big Storage Cheshire Jets Peter Hawkins added;
“This is a great opportunity to continue to build our links with the Chester business community and at the same time expand the size and impact of our community programme. We hope that by partnering with the thebestofchester we can help raise the profile of their members and achieve the same relationship with the private sector that we already have with the public sector.”

Members were shown a presentation by both Paul and Peter before hearing head coach Paul Smith’s motivational talk “The Winning Edge.”

Paul Smith and Jets star Shawn Myers rounded off the evening by teaching the attendees to spin a ball on their finger for more than 3 seconds. Everyone was invited to practise hard and to get involved with the Jets’ world record attempt for “The most amount of people spinning a ball on their finger simultaneously” on July 26th during the UK’s largest Basketball summer camp in Chester.
