Queen's School announces new Art Scholarship and Award
The Queen’s School in Chester has announced a new scholarship and award for art, open to girls in the North West and Wales wanting to study art in the Sixth Form.
The Amanda Latham Art Scholarship and Award is offered in memory of Mandy Latham, a former Art teacher at The Queen’s School and respected North West artist. Mandy sadly passed away too soon in April 2011. She is missed greatly by all who knew her including many past and present pupils of the school. Mandy’s parents have kindly donated £500 to The Queen’s School to assist in the start up of this Art Scholarship.
Applications are invited for any Year 11 girls intending on studying Art at A Level. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of an examination, portfolio and interview, and is to the value of £500.
The examination takes place on Saturday 21 January 2012 at 10.00 am. and any girl wishing to apply needs to complete an application form and return it to the school by Tuesday 17 January 2012.
