Double Dutch welcomed by Queen's
The Queen’s Lower School has recently become the new home for a language school; The Double Dutch School.
The Liverpool Road school has opened its doors to The Double Dutch School, which teaches both children and adults the Dutch language. As well as learning a new language, pupils will get the chance to celebrate Dutch cultural holidays and festivals at the school.
Nataschja Nixon, Headmistress of the Double Dutch School, said:
“We are delighted that we have been able to make The Queen’s School our new home and we have been made to feel very welcome. Queen’s School is the perfect environment for the Double Dutch School to continue to teach Dutch to the local community”.
Sarah Clark, Headmistress of the Queen’s School, commented:
“We are delighted to be able to give the Double Dutch School a new home here at The Queen’s School. We have long had a commitment to working with the local community as well as promoting language learning. I know that the children and adults who attend the school gain an enormous amount from the teachers who instruct them.”
Majella Schmeink-Vermaat, Chairman of the board of governors, added:
“We are excited to be teaching Dutch at the Queen’s School which is such a wonderful learning environment”.
