About Stillmuchtooffer.co.uk

Stillmuchtooffer does not have a history as yet! But it does have a story. The idea for its conception stemmed from so many people who were being made redundant, were nearing retirement age or were longing for a change of lifestyle. The message was the same. They may be 49 or 56 or even 76 but they all stated firmly that they ‘still had so much to offer.’ And so the name was born before the concept emerged.

Stillmuchtoooffer Ltd. believes that age discrimination does a disservice to employees who are still skilled, reliable and eager to work. Energy and enthusiasm are not the prerogative of youth. By extolling a youth culture, companies lose the expertise and experience of older workers. In the working community, there is a place for everyone both young and old; neither group should be excluded. Young people can benefit from those with experience; older people can benefit from those with a new perspective. People of all ages are essential to success. What matters is individual commitment and talent.

But surely we don’t have age discrimination any more do we? After all we have Age Discrimination Legislation. Well yes, but people tell us that in reality mature workers often find it difficult to gain employment. The Channel 4 Dispatches documentary revealed that substantial barriers still face older people in Britain’s job market – despite the passage of laws supposedly outlawing such ageism.

Stillmuchtooffer Ltd. wants to help change attitudes towards older employees by highlighting the special qualities they have to offer.

Unless you are a vintage wine, age really doesn’t matter!
