Ring O'Bells Christleton prepares for Village Show
The Ring O’Bells of Christleton, one of the top 20 pubs in the nation, as recognised by key industry figures, is waiting anxiously for judgement day this Saturday at 2:00pm.
The landmark pub has entered the commercial category for the Best Hanging Basket competition at the annual Christleton Village Show.
Owner of the Ring O’ Bells and Modern British Taverns, Ian Wade has watered the baskets outside the pub regularly in the hot weather and spoke a few words of wisdom:
“It’s not the winning that counts but being a good competitor and seeing the best Hanging Basket win. Not to say that to win wouldn’t be fantastic. We aim to hold the trophy and go beyond the limits of just being one of the top 20 pubs in the nation.”

• ‘Time’ was called at the Ring O’Bells in Christleton recently when successful local pub entrepreneurs Ian Wade and Adam Johnson of Modern British Taverns transformed the celebrated Christleton landmark at the heart of one of Cheshire’s Best Kept Villages.
