Pizza Idol announced
A talented young chef has won a five way cook off to have her pizza on the menu at The Ring O’Bells in Christleton.
Beth Errington, aged 10, beat off competition from four other finalists, Isobel Holland, Zack Smith, Elliot Beech and Sasha Henley.
More than 60 children from Christleton Primary School entered the competition and Beth’s vegetarian pizza, made with goat’s cheese, cherry tomatoes, rocket and with green, red and yellow peppers will be on the new summer menu which is being launched on May 12 at The Ring O’Bells.
Ian Wade, owner of Modern British Taverns, said:
“Well done to Beth and to all of the children who entered – there were some fantastic designs and it was a very difficult decision to pick a winner. A big thank you to David Harker, the Head at Christleton Primary School also, for helping to organise this special event.”
The Ring O’Bells was recently commended at the 2010 Chester Food & Drink Festival Awards in the Best Pub category and the Family Friendly Award.
