Local Support for Local Wine Collection
Cheshire’s Ring O’Bells’ in Christleton has revamped its wine selection supported by nationally renowned, Rodney Densem Wines based in Crewe.
Recently voted 12th Best Pub in The Country by trade magazine The Morning Advertiser and Best Pub in Chester at this year’s Food & Drink Festival, the Ring O’Bells was previously buying from a London based merchant.
Ian Wade, owner of the Ring O’Bells and also the award-winning Faulkner Bar & Kitchen in Hoole, Chester said:
“Rodney Densem Wines concentrates on marketing an individual and exciting collection of personally selected wines which we believe complement the style, selection and quality of the food here. We are also keen to support local, Cheshire businesses where they can match the quality of national suppliers. We really value the community here and do our best to support it many different ways. We will be hosting wine tastings and gourmet dinners to bring something special to the Village.”
Rodney Densem, chairman of Rodeney Densem Wines added:
“As an independent, quality wine merchant we are delighted to be chosen by Ian and his teams at the Ring O’Bells and Faulkner to bring wines to the tables there. The wines they receive from us will be from some of the best vineyards around the world. We are as passionate about our wines as Ian is about his dining experience, value, drinks and food. It will therefore be a great partnership.”
The team at the Ring O’Bells are also celebrating being short-listed for Cheshire Dining Pub of The Year after it was voted Chester’s Best Pub 2011-12 at the Chester Food & Drink Festival.
The Ring O’Bells has free Wi-Fi for visitors and Christmas and New Year menus are out this week.
