Great Pub celebrates Three!
A FAMILY friendly pub in a Cheshire village has celebrated its third birthday in style. Last Saturday a whole host of events took place in order to mark Christleton’s The Ring O’Bells’ third birthday. Owner Ian Wade held a family fun day from 12 noon with children’s entertainer, face painting, a BBQ and performances from local band ‘The Loose Kites’, but it also had three reasons to celebrate with new awards this year.
The Ring O’Bells won ‘Best Pub’ in the 2011 Chester Food, Drink & Lifestyle Awards and was commended in the Family Friendly Award. It was also voted Best Family Pub in the North West for two years running and 12th Best Pub in The Country by trade magazine The Morning Advertiser. Now they are celebrating being short-listed for Cheshire Dining Pub of The Year.
Ian Wade, owner of Modern British Taverns, said:
“This is the icing on the cake for our third birthday. We had great fun celebrating with all our customers, newcomers and staff last Saturday; even if it did rain a bit! We really value the community here and do our best to support it in any way we can.” He added; “The Cheshire Life awards will be announced on October 25th by local ‘foodie’ Lucy Meacock.”

The Ring O’Bells has also introduced free Wi-Fi for visitors and Christmas and New Year menus are out this week.
