Family friendly pub gets judges' vote
The Ring O’ Bells has been awarded Gold in the 8th annual Chester Food & Drink Awards. The Christleton pub won the Family Friendly Award, sponsored by Kids Direct.
The awards celebrate the best in dining, drink and produce that the region has to offer, voted for by the public and key figures within the food and drink industry. The newly established pub also achieved Silver in the Best Newcomer category, marking a great first year in business.
Ian Wade, Modern British Taverns, said:
“It’s been a tough time for food and drink industry, but at the Ring O’ Bells we’ve risen above the recession by catering for everyone. We think pubs should be accessible to all so children are more than welcome. We’ve created a play area for children to burn off some excess energy so their parents can relax; it’s got lots to keep them entertained and is nicely situated away from the road, in view from the beer garden so you can keep an eye on them.
We’ve not compromised the flavours in our main menu when designing the dishes for children. A particular favourite are our home made stone baked pizzas which have proved very popular with children and grownups alike.”
