North West serves up a festival worthy of top chefs
The North West Food Lovers Festival is a “must go” event for the Autumn, building on previous success with a new team behind the Festival. The organisers are planning even more reasons to visit Tatton Park during the weekend, 25 – 26 October. This new look Festival at Tatton Park is the start of a week long programme of events in and around Knutsford until 1st November.
Taste buds at the ready, visitors can look forward to a jam packed set of events including cookery demonstrations by North West chefs Simon Rimmer, Andrew Nutter, Paul Askew, Leigh Myers, Brian Mellor and Paul Taylor. Simon Radley and Nigel Haworth are also expected to support the event.
The new event at Tatton Park, encompassing the annual Knutsford Festival, which will continue through 27th October – 1st November, will be a celebration of all the North West"s culinary talents. All the key North West producers are expected, many members of the North West"s “Made ins” Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria. Visitors will be able to try and buy the best from the North West.
Stephen Wundke, Organiser of the 2008 North West Food Lovers Festival said:
“The North West offers some of the best produce and experienced chefs in the country, and we are keen to promote this at this fantastic all new festival. Tatton Park is the perfect location for an event of this kind, right in the heart of the beautiful North West. I encourage as many of you as possible to join us whether it be as an exhibitor or a visitor. You are in for a treat.”
Also expected on the menu will be competitions with the chance to win free meals at some of the North-West"s top restaurants and weekend breaks at luxury hotels topped off with, of course the best in North West Food.
To finish off the week and make sure some of those North-West recipes are always on your plate, there will be the opportunity to purchase the new “Home Grown Cookbook”. The new compilation, to be launched at September"s Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, features recipes from all the past North-West food festivals and from the most recognised North West Chefs who will be available for signings.
