About Novus Young Professionals
Novus was conceived to provide a channel for young people to experience the benefits of building and developing networking skills.
The networking group held its inaugural event in November 2002. The inspiration for Novus came from a realization that although there were plenty of organizations aimed at networking already present in Chester, there was a distinct lack of ‘young’ professionals attending.
Novus helps those who are at the beginning of their professional careers, in need of support and valuable contacts, to help ‘fast forward’ their careers.
Novus also enables young professionals to hear from invited guests with successful careers and learn from their business experiences and expertise. This both inspires and enables their own personal and business development.
Most importantly, Novus concentrates on making any event relaxed and sociable where young professionals can chill out and be themselves. Our events typically attract 40 attendees. Members attend events held every two months on a Friday lunchtime in up and coming eateries.
Membership of Novus is limited to 500 and is free. However, it is by recommendation and referral only. Each event is designed by organizers Marketing Projects to break even. Speakers are leading luminaries from business who generously share secrets of their success with Novus.
