Just Another Fashion Show...Through the looking glass
HOT on the heels of their storming fashion show last year, Just Another Fashion Show is staging an Alice In Wonderland themed event in Chester next month featuring cutting edge fashion.
The majestic Pavilion Room at Chester Racecourse will play host to a striking catwalk of some of the region’s hottest retailers, freshest designers and most eclectic vintage boutiques as well as local band The Shy and the Fight, a host of DJs and celebrity VIPs.
The night has been specially created by Chester based events organisation, Utility Promotions, which regularly showcases new ideas in fashion, art, music and culture in Chester and the North West, following the roaring success of their sell-out fashion event in October.
The team have joined forces with Toni & Guy Essensuals and make-up artists using Mac to create the Alice in Wonderland themed night, complete with a grass covered catwalk, tea stands, flowers, fairies and life models.
Organiser Alex Dooley said:
“This will be the hottest ticket in town on Thursday April 8th at Chester Racecourse. The after party of all after parties will carry on into the small hours at a secret Chester location, with two floors of cool eclectic sounds suited for all tastes and eardrums with drinks offers and free entrance to those who have kept hold of their tickets. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to two African charities; Stepping Stones Nigeria, for disadvantaged children in Nigeria and Just Care, which supports children in Uganda. Tickets for the show are on sale now and are selling out fast.”
Independent dressmaker Flatley Designs based on Bold Street, Liverpool, vintage emporium Cow Manchester and high street superbrands will showcase their most current collections and ensembles and Pop Boutique, who sell their eclectic mixture of fashion and accessories to fashionistas around the globe will make a welcome return to the Just Another Fashion Show … catwalk. Chester based designer and vintage store Aliz will also be displaying their unique collections and costume designer and dressmaker Louise O’Mahoney couture designs will also be paraded on the catwalk.
To finish off the look and to get everyone in the mood for the long hot summer ahead, models will don sunglasses from David Cudlow.
Included in the ticket price will be a ticket for a raffle, featuring prizes from some of Chester’s top hotels, restaurants, bars and clothing stores as well as an exclusive cut with one of Toni & Guy’s top hairdressers.
Following the show, Chester based five-piece band, The Shy and the Fight will be blasting out their hits, which will be followed by Chester DJ extraordinaire Nate.
Also included in the ticket price will be entrance to exclusive after party at a secret Chester location yet to be revealed.
