Sparkling Silver Anniversary
Corks were popping as more than 150 invited guests celebrated a special 25th anniversary for The Holt Lodge Hotel.
The Deputy Mayor of Wrexham Borough Council Cllr David Griffiths was in attendance at the Wrexham Road based hotel, as guests sampled Champagne and local seasonal produce. The original builder of The Holt Lodge Hotel, Ray Davies was at the celebration which also marked the completion of refurbishment of the Hotel’s new kitchens, Rafters Restaurant, 36 ensuite rooms and reception area.
The kitchens at the independently owned The Holt Lodge Hotel have recently undergone a makeover with brand new state of the art cookery equipment, new flooring and fittings throughout.
The new menu for the Christmas period, created by Head Chef Tony Cowley, formerly of the Dorchester Hotel and the QE2, was also launched at the celebration. Guests sampled items from the new menu, which includes everything from burgers to fillet steaks, fajitas to a wide selection of fresh fish including lobster.
A quarter of a century ago, The Holt Lodge Hotel started using suppliers Woodward Foodservice, of Deeside Industrial Park, Chester and 25 years on they are still being used.

Holt Lodge has kept ahead of the times and grown to meet the needs of discerning visitors to Wrexham, including the business community at Wrexham Industrial Estate. When we opened, a colour TV in every room was considered cutting edge. Now there is wireless broadband throughout. Holt Lodge has been getting it right for 25 years and we are still known for our service, quality and value; things that never change. We are now looking forward to a busy Christmas period, with only a few spaces left for our famous Christmas Party Nights.”
