Superstar chef brings Italian sparkle

Luxury travel company Grand Tourist staged a series of exclusive gourmet events in Chester offering the chance to sample the cuisine of a renowned Michelin starred Chef. Mauro Uliassi travelled from Senigallia on the Eastern coast of Italy, a town which is twinned with Chester. Mauro cooked a lunch and dinner at The Arkle restaurant at the five-star Chester Grosvenor Hotel alongside the Chester Grosvenor Hotel’s executive chef Simon Radley.

Chefs from across the North West are being encouraged by organisers Grand Tourist to sample olive oils from Le Marche in Italy at exclusive tasting sessions. The olive oil is some of the finest in the world and thanks to luxury travel company Grand Tourist, chefs can win the chance to visit where it is made in the Le Marche region on the Eastern coast of Italy in a cultural and skills exchange. The free tastings are being held at Olio & Farina in Bridge Street, Chester on Tuesday February 5 and at The London Carriage Works in Liverpool on Wednesday February 6, from 3pm to 5pm.

Grand Tourist has exhibited at the Conde Nast Luxury Travel Fair, La Dolce Vita Show at Olympia and the American Society of Travel Agents International Destination Expo in Lyon where they have found new clients receptive to a world of service the Grand Tourist way.
Objectives for Marketing PRojects were to get as much publicity as possible, which would generate more awareness and bookings.

Results

Marketing PRojects activities ranged from organising press trips, attending national tourist exhibitions, facilitating celebrity chefs visits at International Festival of the Sea in Italy, creating videos, taking pictures, contacting the media and writing press releases.
