Fourth Gallery for short-listed Wildlife artist of the Year

Hot on the heels of being short-listed for the second year running as “Wildlife artist of the Year” with the famous David Shepherd foundation, Clare Shaughnessy has been asked by the new Animal eARTh Gallery to be guest exhibitor for 2010.

Clare’s work is already at three Galleries; Dee Fine Arts in Heswall, Baron Fine Art in Chester and the Enigma Gallery near Birkenhead where she also gives tutorials as well as in Loggerheads Country Park and Brimstage Hall on the Wirral. Early next year she will be part of the demonstration “Here come the girls!”, which will gather three artists Susan Myers, Catherine Dipple and Clare for a special event at Enigma Gallery where each will demonstrate their individual talents and skills.

Clare has also been invited as one of the four guest artists at Animal eARTh which is centered at Willington Hall Hotel near Tarporley. After the success of its first exhibition, Animal eARTh asked Clare to be part of the 2010 exhibitions.

Clare sells her work all over the UK, Europe and the US and launched a new website last month at http://www.clareshaughnessy.co.uk

Notes to editors
“I love animals. I love nature. Everything I paint stems from these two facts.”
Clare Shaughnessy, has been a professional wildlife artist for over 20 years, she paints animals in their quieter or more playful moments using layers of paint to give a feeling of softness and depth.
Her particular skills associate a strong sense of aesthetic with an encyclopedic knowledge of animals and birds. She links this with a perfect study of their anatomies and as a result, complete authenticity to her work.
Clare has exhibited many times with the Society of Wildlife Artists and every year since 1990 at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art. She is particularly excited about being approached by the new art society AnimaleARTh asking her to appear in their 2010 exhibition.
