Sat 13th September – Great Chester Retail Offers Start
Retailers all over the City, from small boutiques to department stores will be putting together over 50 exclusive discounts and deals, offering you the best Autumn shopping around. Shoppers can enjoy a range of fashion and beauty events including demonstrations and make-up tips from Boots and Debenhams, makeovers, Indian Head Massages and goodie bags. Because time is not of the essence with the new “Free after 3” car parking, visit twice as many shops and double up on savings by exploring the Rows, unique to Chester.

Wed 17th September – The Face of Chester
Venue: The Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel, St John Street, Chester CH1 1HL
Time: 7pm
The search for our new 2008 “Face of Chester” has already begun. International modelling agency, Boss Model Management, specialists in home grown talent and based in Manchester are to judge for the evening. 20 finalists will strut their stuff on the catwalk show, modelling clothes from the best fashion retailers of Chester. Hair styling by Soul Hair at 13 Watergate Row, Chester 01244 320014. One female and one male will win The Face of Chester 2008 and receive the opportunity of a one year contract with Boss Model Management and their very own photo shoot to create the definitive portfolio they need. Last year"s winners have gone on to an international career.

Thurs 18th September – Two Woman Fashion Show
Venue: Forum Shopping Centre
Show Times: 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm.
Too much to choose! Two models will change from outfit to outfit in 4 fashion shows throughout the day. All the leading retailers in the Forum Shopping Centre will have their latest trends and predicted best sellers on display, modelled down the catwalk in the heart of the city. Shoppers can immediately scoop them up as all the garments are available to buy immediately in the shops! Don"t miss out!
Thurs 18th September – Fashion Show
Venue: Eaton Estate
Arrival Time: 7pm
Fantastic models will demonstrate the key trends for Autumn in beautiful surroundings with the experts on the subject, “Fall Woman” of Knutsford. This exclusive charity evening will also include a demonstration from “House of Colour” and the opportunity to browse a great selection of boutique stalls featuring classic jewels, accessories and much more!

Sat 20th September – Fashion For All
Chester Fashion delivers fashion to the streets of Chester!
Marks and Spencer, Hardy Aimes, Kalidoscope and Debenhams are to take part in this fashion show with a difference. It is to take place on a mobile stage through Eastgate Street and Bridge Street, the main roads through the city centre.
Featuring the combination of retailers that make this city so unique and showing the very best we have on offer. Many different ranges to suit all ages and personalities, this is an exciting event that will create an exhilarating atmosphere on the streets of Chester.
Shows are at 11.00am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm in Bridge Street
and 11.40am, 1.40pm and 3.40pm in Eastgate Street
Monday 22nd September – A Model in the Making
“A Model in the Making” competition will be looking for models other than the Fashion Industry"s standard size 8. Organisers are looking for a model who is representative of real people, wearing real clothes.
One lucky shopper will have the chance to win a one-year modelling contract, courtesy of Catwalk Model Management and £500 worth of photography, courtesy of Venture. Model scouts including Hollyoaks Make-up Artist, Lynne Davey and former Trinny & Susannah Fashion Stylist, Emma Jones will be on the lookout for five models, male or female aged 35 – 45 and 5ft 6in or above in the Chester Grosvenor Shopping Centre, from Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24th September, 10am-2pm.
The overall winner will be announced during the Fashion Show on Saturday 27th. So make sure you are fully glammed up to shop and grab the attention of those model talent spotters!!

Monday 22nd September -“Handbags and Gladrags”
Fashion students from the University of Chester will be designing a handbag and outfit for fashion week with the best designs being chosen by Fashion Stylist, Emma Jones.

Tue 23rd September – Young Designer of the Year
Venue: Cruise Nightclub
Arrival Time: 7:30pm
Fashion students from Mid Cheshire and West Cheshire Colleges show their collections to find Cheshire"s Young Designer of the Year. Each has created a range of themed outfits which show us what the Paris, Milan, London and New York catwalks need in a few years time! Many past students have gone on to glittering careers there. One talented individual will be given the opportunity for a professional photo shoot with top models for their garments, as well as taking home the title of Young Designer of the Year! This event always has a great atmosphere made even more special this year at Cruise. Early booking is recommended.

Thurs 25th September – Perfect Pins
Venue: Castle Galleries, 18 St.Michaels Row, Grosvenor Shopping Centre, Chester,
CH1 1EF
Time: 6pm to 8pm.
Art and fashion merge here to create Chester"s art at its best. The professional artist Simon Claridge is to paint a live model in the Castle Galleries, while guests watch and admire the other artwork on display. As the stunning model is captured on canvas, guests can also enjoy a champagne and canapé reception before the finished piece is unveiled there.

Friday 26 September – Live Windows
Location: Grosvenor Shopping Centre
Back by popular demand and making fashion fun, models around the city will replace mannequins in shop windows to show off the hottest seasonal looks with a difference! Catch them if you can, keep your eyes open!
Sat 27th September – The Fashion Show
Venue: The Grosvenor Shopping Centre
Models will display 3 fantastic shows featuring a variety of new clothes ranges available from the leading fashion labels of the Grosvenor Shopping Centre. The show will demonstrate how to wear the chosen garments and will display inspirational ideas to accessorise them.
Sunday 28 September – Fashion on the Move
Venue: The Grosvenor Shopping Centre
Models will be walking around the shopping centre offering fashion advice. Shoppers with a passion for fashion will be shown how they can achieve catwalk glamour on a high-street budget, thanks to the Chester Grosvenor Shopping Centre.
