The Xmas Card Factor
A seven-year old girl proved she has the X-Factor when she won an annual Christmas card competition.
More than 100 entries for the ‘Design a Christmas Card’ competition were received from children aged four to 11 from schools within Chester & District Housing Trust’s (CDHT) communities.
Shae Farrell, of Lache Primary School, was the overall winner and will have her design turned into the Trust’s corporate Christmas card for 2009. Shae, of Clover Lane, Lache, also won a £50 gift voucher, which was presented at CDHT’s Centurion House, Northgate Street headquarters.
Runners up were Kira Shaw, aged five, of Coniston Road, Newton and Owen McGrath, aged six, of Kipling Road, Blacon, who each received £25 vouchers.
Colin Keenan, of CDHT’s Resident Involvement Team, said:
“It’s fantastic to see the effort that the children put into their Christmas cards and picking the winner was a very hard decision for our Resident Involvement Group.
Congratulations and thank you to everyone who entered this year. We look forward to sending out our Christmas cards with the winning design.”
