Building Charter Award
Chester & District Housing Trust (CDHT) has been awarded Chartered Building Company status becoming one of the first social housing organisations to reach this prestigious standard.
Achieving Chartered Building Company status means that CDHT has demonstrated commitment to quality service, integrity of conduct and shown it has a professional concern for clients’ needs, as well as providing benchmarks for operational standards. Further, the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) status enhances the links that CDHT already enjoys with the CIOB.
Clients of TrustWorks are safe in the knowledge that their projects are completed with professionalism, speed and efficiency, and to a very high standard. The scheme requires CDHT to abide by and adhere to Chartered Building Company Rules and a Professional Code of Conduct as decreed by the Privy Council of the Chartered Institute of Building.
Phil Jones, Director of TrustWorks the in-house maintenance team at CDHT, said;
“This award of Chartered Building Company status completes an important part of the TrustWorks Business Plan which gives TrustWorks a strategic direction for the next five years. The business plan sets out a wide range of service improvements that will ultimately result in greater capacity, improved services for customers and more opportunities to be successful in winning work outside TrustWorks’ traditional geographical areas. TrustWorks has recently worked for Chez Jules, recently voted Best Large Restaurant at the Chester Food and Drink Festival and Steve Biko Housing Association in Liverpool carrying out high quality repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works, as well as increasingly being asked to assist other Housing Associations in service improvement.”
Jess Deacon, Chartered Building Company Manager, added:
“Chartered members are amongst the most highly regarded professionals working throughout the international construction industry. Our membership represents the wide diversity of roles within the construction industry and promotes the delivery of high work standards and values. We are proud to count CDHT as one of those members and congratulate them on their success.”
