Waltons keeps watch as Breitling keeps time over wet weekend
Chester based jewellers Waltons supported the spectacular Pageant of Power at Cholmondeley Castle recently. The event featured displays, exhibitions and trials of the best in historic sports and racing cars, boats and helicopters, cumulating in prizes for the fastest on land, water and in the air. Breitling, the luxury watch brand was working with Waltons to ensure the success of the event and a worthy prize for the three winners.
Waltons was with them all the way, located in the Bentley marquee and displaying four cases of timeless splendour on both days.
David Lee, manager of the Eastgate store for Waltons presented Breitling watches to the winners following measured timings for all events from Breitling. The four cabinets displayed 15 watches from the latest Breitling Bentley collection including some stunning gold and diamond pieces.
David was lucky enough to meet former Formula 1 racing champion Derek Bell in Switzerland recently, a proud owner of a Breitling watch. Derek was also at Cholmondeley.
David Lee was very excited to be in attendance at this inaugural event and said: “It was an amazing experience to represent Breitling for Bentley watches and to show the latest collection, alongside some beautiful Bentley car classics and latest models. The weekend offered something for everyone with racing and a wide variety of side shows spanning both days. The finale for me was presenting the Breitling watches to the winners, received with great pride.”

Cholmondeley Castle was the perfect setting for an historic motoring event of this kind and it seemed dually apt that Breitling was present alongside Bentley Cars.”

Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, week-end of the 9th and 10th August, was a success both on and off the racing track. Visitors were in for some surprises as famous faces, amongst them Formula 1 legend Derek Bell attended the many and various attractions. Also present was a vintage funfair, mini motorbike, go-cart rides, a Trader Village and a variety of food retailers to satisfy all tastes.
