Lowe's prepare for the Chester Cup
Preparations are mounting for the first day of racing of the Season at Chester on Wednesday. The UK’s oldest racecourse combines with one of the UK’s oldest jewellers, Lowe & Sons, which was established in 1770, as Lowe’s engrave the plinth for the big race the Chester Cup. The relationship between Lowe’s, of Bridge Street Row, and the Chester Race Company has been established for more than 200 years with Lowe’s continuing to supply the Chester Cup.
General Manager of Lowe & Son’s Kevin Parry said:
“Lowe and Sons is delighted to have forged this strong relationship with Chester Racecourse, which has been established for more than 200 years. Lowe’s continue to engrave the trophy and we are looking forward to another fantastic race on Wednesday for the Chester Cup and also our own race afterwards.”
The Brietling Watches & Walton’s of Chester Handicap Stakes is being run at 3.20pm at Chester Racecourse on Wednesday. Presenting the prizes are Richard Blampied, the Managing Director of Waltons the Jewellers, Tim Bradley, the Northern Sales Manager of Brietling UK and Richard Hogben, the General Manager of Waltons the Jewellers in Chester.
