Girls at The Queen”s School were delighted when they received their GCSE results. More than half of all pupils achieved at least 8 passes at A* or A, or better. Two pupils achieved the considerable distinction of being amongst the top ten candidates in the country in their ICT examination.
Jennifer Scott of Chester and Jenny Overton of Great Sutton received letters from the examination board congratulating them on being amongst the highest scoring candidates out of more than 11,000 entries in this summer”s examination.
Headmistress Mrs Catherine Buckley said: “This is an excellent set of results which the girls thoroughly deserve and which underline what a talented group they are. Overall our pupils have had a very successful summer. Not only were our A level and AS results excellent, but our 11 years olds achieved outstanding SATs results in maths, science and English, scoring 100% in English at level 5. I congratulate all our candidates and their teachers on such impressive performances.”
