Queen's girls stretch mind and muscle
There was an excellent adventure waiting for a group of girls from The Queen’s School, Chester, when they headed north to enjoy a short activity break in one of the UK’s leading education and activity centres.
Youngsters from years 4 and 5 took the trip to the newly refurbished Kingswood activity centre, Dukeshouse Wood in Northumberland, where they joined the Discovery Programme and enjoyed a wide range of challenges ” both mental and physical.
First, the girls were tested with interesting cross-curricular learning and study opportunities before they faced a thrilling range of high and low adrenaline adventure activities.
From high ropes to zip wires and challenge courses to laser quest, this school trip was one that was guaranteed to stretch young muscles as well courage and fortitude but most pleasing of all were the demonstrations of care and support that they showed for each other.”
