Speakers Line up for World Class Leadership Conference
Thursday, 9 March 2006, City of Manchester Stadium. Olympic medallist, World, European and Commonwealth Athletics champion, Kriss Akabusi MBE will deliver the opening keynote at the inaugural North West Annual Conference held by the Institute of Directors.
Kriss is famous for his achievements in athletics where his greatest individual triumph was his Gold Medal in the 1990 European Championships and as a member of the 4×400 metre relay squad which clinched the Gold for Britain in the World Championships in Tokyo in 1991. Alongside a successful career as a television presenter, Kriss is one of the UK’s most sought after and respected motivational speakers. He will talk about creating world class business athletes here in the North West.
Retail tycoon, Gerald Ratner, responsible for one of the most famous gaffes in corporate history, will share how he has rebuilt a business empire, with the launch of GeraldOnline, which in its first three weeks took more than £3 million.
The conference is to be opened by IoD Director General, Miles Templeman and takes places on Thursday, 9 March at the prestigious City of Manchester Stadium. It will focus on the theme of leadership and features an impressive line-up of national and regional motivational leaders.
