FINALISTS: International Business Director of the Year
Tony Attard is founder/CEO of Panaz, specialists in flame retardant contract fabrics. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, an associate of the Institute of Textiles, a member of the Institute of Management and past-Chairman of the BCFA, Tony has received accolades from the Design Council, DTI, UMIST and the Queen’s Awards office.
Ned Montarello is the founder and managing director of ThinkSmart, Australia’s leading supplier of rental finance for business technology, and executive director of RentSmart Ltd, a north-west UK based finance business that operates throughout the UK and Europe. Launched in June 1996, quickly establishing a national infrastructure with offices in all key states. He has personally negotiated contracts with some of the world’s largest retailers and financial institutions, and secured private capital investment from a select group of private investors. In 2003, Mr Montarello established a joint venture in the UK – RentSmart Ltd – with the Halifax Bank of Scotland and secured an exclusive agreement with the Dixons Sales group, Europe’s largest electrical retailer, to launch the business in the UK.
Chris Purslow, MD of Willand UV Systems Ltd (trading as atg-willand) is a graduate of Liverpool University and a Fellow of the IEE. ATG-Willand manufacture a range of Ultra-Violet treatment units for the elimination of microorganisms in water. The ‘green’ benefits of this chemical free treatment process fit the company’s ambition to be a world class business embracing customers, employees and the wider community.
