Small print and the big picture for the visitor economy

“Look after the small print” was the key message from leading UK legal business Hill Dickinson LLP as it guided Cheshire businesses through contracts, sales, web sites and other legal areas of interest to the hospitality sector. More than 100 members and guests of Visit Chester and Cheshire (VCC) attended a day of business seminars at the De Vere Carden Park Hotel.

Paul Taylor, commercial associate at Hill Dickinson, presented, supported by Iain Campbell, commercial litigation partner and Sally Wightman, corporate and commercial partner, both based in the Chester office. Sally commented: “Hill Dickinson recognises the importance of the visitor economy in Cheshire, and the legal and commercial challenges this sector faces in achieving VCC’s target increase in turnover from £1.4 to £2 billion by 2015. Significant progress is already being made with the increase in hotel rooms in Chester, the Super Zoo development and improving transport links to the region. However, businesses in this sector need strong commercial legal expertise, which we are able to provide.”

Paul Taylor’s presentation is available from the Chester office of Hill Dickinson by ringing 01244 896600.
