Lawyers Launch Networking Event
Leading UK legal business Hill Dickinson LLP has launched a networking event aimed at improving communication between young professionals in Chester.
The inaugural event, which took place in Chester Cathedral’s Chapter House on 19 June, was attended by more than 60 local businessmen and women.
Organised by associates and assistants from the solicitors’ Cuppin Street offices, the event was designed to give young professionals an informal opportunity to discuss work and play in and around the City.
Guests were treated to wine and canapés while a pianist provided musical accompaniment in the historic surroundings. Solicitors representing all of Hill Dickinson Chester office’s practice areas were present to chat with guests and discuss issues of common interest.
The next big event is planned for the end of the year and it’s hoped the networking sessions will become a permanent fixture of Chester’s social calendar.
Ian Sydenham, Private Client Associate said: “We organised the Hill Dickinson Professional Networking Event as a chance for professionals working in different sectors at a more junior level to meet and discuss business and leisure. There is an influx of new professionals joining the existing talent in Chester, but working in the same city doesn’t necessarily mean that it is easy to communicate with each other. Events like these are a great platform to exchange ideas and business experience while forming friendships.”
