Stafford Borough Council last night deferred the decision to approve resubmitted plans by Driveme.net to transform an old airfield in Staffordshire into a state-of-the-art driving experience centre. The Development Control Committee voted to visit the Seighford site of the application whilst a driving day is underway before making their decision.

Stafford Driving Centre plans withdrawn
Plans for £12 million investment at the former RAF Seighford near Stafford have been put on hold. The plans have been withdrawn by Flintshire based driveme.net Ltd. who want to expand and develop part of the airfield as a driver experience centre of excellence.

Budding Engineers go karting with DriveMe
Young engineers at a Primary School in Staffordshire will test drive their creations at a nearby driving experience centre. Electrically powered go-karts, designed and built by pupils who are members of the Young Engineers Club at Cooper Perry Primary School in Seighford, Staffordshire, will be tested at the Driveme.net track.
