Heading on the right course for love at The Mill

Last Saturday night was windy, with occasional blustery showers from the west. You would never have guessed though, on board The Mill Hotel’s restaurant cruiser, L’eau’t Cuisine.

After drinks before dinner, diners were escorted onto the boat under a heated canopy to be seated at their table. As any old fashioned girl would, I wore my slinkiest black dress, which was perfectly in keeping with the romantic setting. Many other diners were celebrating special occasions, with one couple newly engaged and a group marking a 40th birthday party.

Captain Bill Bradley made everyone feel welcome and raised more than a few laughs, speaking to each party and wishing them well. The staff did an excellent job of serving the food and everything went smoothly, with pre-ordered drinks arriving on board to accompany the 3-course menu, which was excellent.

The Mill Hotel’s cruise is a perfect way to dine a little differently, and with a 7.15pm sailing time, gives you the chance to relax and enjoy the evening. A perfect way to celebrate the Festival of Romance!
