Alan Coxon, who was voted among the top 10 TV chefs of the World, in a BBC poll across 100 countries, gave the final cookery demonstration of Sunday. Alan asked two members of the audience to assist him in making lamb stir fry, Panna cotta with liquorice and ginger shards of sugar work (recipe from Saturday), dark chocolate fondant served with cherries flamed in brandy and a chocolate coffee pot.

Cheese rolling Cheshire style wins again: Competition Crumbles for record fifth year
After a hardened battle between the big cheeses a team of Made in Cheshire cheese high-rollers narrowly beat rivals Cheshire Cheesemakers, who were rolling down the cobbles of Bridge Street, Chester for the first time this year. Finalists announced in Best Banger competition
The best of Chester and Cheshire's sausages have been selected to enter the final of The Chester Food & Drink Festival Sausage Competition. Carole Faulkner of The Cheese Shop was Chairman of the eight strong judging a panel, including chef Martin Bouchier who flew in from his restaurant in Andalucia, Spain for the tasting. More than 100 sausages were entered, each butcher provided his bestseller and a new recipe designed exclusively for the competition.

90 per cent of visitors found the Festival met or exceeded expectations 90 per cent of visitors found the Festival presented average or higher value for money 72 per cent of visitors spent over £10, 26% over £20 36 per cent travelled over 15 miles to go to the Festival 10 per cent stayed in the City at a hotel 82 per cent will return next year
The Gala Dinner and awards ceremony will ensure more than 400 people sample a gourmet menu sourced from leading producers in the North West. This is likely to be held on Tuesday March 25th 2008.
