Calling all budding young writers
Chester Performs, the organisers of last week’s hugely successful event Up the Wall on Chester City Walls, is looking for 15 young writers aged 13 to 20 years to take part in a six month writing project.
Starting in January, the project, led by Action Transport’s Associate Writer Kevin Dyer will run through to July 2008. Participants will meet on a monthly basis and will be able to see their first ideas transformed into a finished script in only six months. The play will then go on to be performed by young people later that summer in a production staged by Chester Performs.
Chester Performs has teamed up with one of the country’s most renowned young people’s theatre companies Action Transport Theatre for this project. Together they are committed to making the very best plays for, by and with, young people.
For all those interested in taking part in the project please come along to one of two FREE taster sessions taking place on Monday 19th November and Wednesday 19th December from 6.30pm – 9.30pm in Chester City Centre. To register for either of the taster sessions all you need to do is contact Amber Jones, Project Coordinator for Chester Performs on 01244 409113 or email amber@chesterperforms.com
