Seasons greetings from new head Chef
The new Christmas menu has been unveiled at The Holt Lodge Hotel. The seasonal menu at the Wrexham Road based Hotel has been created by new head chef Tony Cowley, who has joined The Holt Lodge after working at The Dorchester Hotel, onboard the QE2 and also as personal chef to Sir Anthony Bamford, owner of JCB.
The Christmas menu was recently launched at a Champagne celebration of 25 years of trading at The Holt Lodge Hotel and the Christmas Party Season is now in full swing.
The 25 year celebration also marked refurbishments to the kitchens at the independently owned The Holt Lodge Hotel, which have recently undergone a makeover with brand new state of the art cookery equipment, new flooring and fittings throughout. Also, Rafters Restaurant and the reception area have recently been refurbished and decorated with a contemporary feel in shades of aubergine and silver.
Companies holding Christmas parties at The Holt Lodge over the next month, include the Wrexham Street Pastors, the Masons from Gredington Lodge and the Royal Welsh Army, with soldiers attending from all over Wales.
Andrew and Alex Smeaton, owners of The Holt Lodge Hotel, said:
“We are delighted that Tony has joined us. He has had great experience of cooking for celebrities around the world. He is creating fantastic fresh food at The Holt Lodge, which most importantly of all is produced locally. We do all we can to support local businesses. The Christmas a la carte menu uses local seasonal produce wherever possible such as our Cheshire Turkeys and local Welsh Lamb Shank. We have lots of dinner offers on over Christmas and are looking forward to a busy Christmas period, with only a few spaces left for our famous Christmas Party Nights.”
The new Christmas menu includes everything from burgers to fillet steaks, from fajitas to a wide selection of fresh fish including lobster.
