The Sky's the Limit

A dazzling UK Premiere launch of the new 2007 Breitling watch collection was held by Waltons of Chester at Hawarden Airport last night. More than 110 guests attended the exclusive champagne event and were invited to test their flying skills on the thrilling Breitling Fighter Challenge flight simulator.

A tour of the Aviation Centre included a behind the scenes look at the restoration and maintenance hangar and the chance to admire some rare aircraft, courtesy of NWMAS Ltd. For those who prefer terra ferma, there were a range of beautifully restored classic and vintage cars, ranging from a rare Rolls-Royce to a selection of Aston Martins, which were all available to purchase courtesy of Cheshire Classic Cars. A drag car from the Talbot Racing team was also on display.

Richard Hogben, General Manager of Waltons of Chester, said:

“This was a fantastic event which had something for everyone, from the magnificent new Breitling watch collection, to the aircraft and flight simulator, to the classic cars on show. It was great to bring together these different facets of craftsmanship and to show the spectacular results that can be achieved with skilled engineering and artistry. The Breitling launch of the new collection was held in Basle in Switzerland, but this was the first time the watches have been seen in the UK.”

Top gun on the night was Chris Marsden of Little Sutton, who shot down all comers on the Breitling Fighter Challenge flight simulator, winning a Breitling jacket.
