Friedman Corporation & IMS Announce Partnership for Business Intelligence
Information Management Solutions Ltd. (IMS), the dynamic IT consultancy for business solutions, and Friedman Corporation Ltd. (FCL), who provide enterprise computing solutions for the discrete ‘To-Order’ Manufacturer, have partnered to offer companies a complete Business Intelligence solution.
IMS and FCL are developing a Turnkey Business Intelligence (BI) solution as an extension to IMS’ i3 product offering. This will be available as an add-on to FCL’s LS/400 software, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software suite which includes sales, purchasing, inventory control and full financial modules. Friedman also markets Frontier, the leading ERP software package for managing a make to-order business such as furniture or window manufacturing.
IMS’ i3 for LS/400 was developed to enhance the LS/400 transaction ERP system. It will deliver key performance metrics and enable business users to identify business trends, investigate underlying data, and inform for better business management. (Hence its name i3).
The i3 for LS/400 BI solution will enhance different areas of a business as follows:
- Purchasing and vendor quality, by looking for price and quality trends by product and vendor
- Sales analysis, by looking for sales and margin trends by customer, salesman, country and product
- Financial performance, by analysing the P&L and Balance sheet in various ways
- Inventory analysis, by looking for under and over stocking by product, warehouse and country.
Richard Wilkinson, general manager at Friedman Corporation Ltd.;
“We are confident IMS has the required standard of skills and knowledge to ensure the best possible business solutions for LS/400 users who want Business Intelligence. We have chosen our technology partners carefully to ensure successful customer implementations.”
Robin Edmonds, managing director of IMS added;
“IMS’ i3 Business Intelligence solution will offer great benefits to Friedman Corporation software users. We have worked with FCL on a number of projects and are pleased to further extend our partnership.”
