A Ghostly Business with the Institute of Directors Cheshire
More than 20 members and guests survived an evening of mystery, ghosts and tales of the unexpected in keeping with the season staged by the Cheshire branch of the Institute of Directors. This special event was held the day after Bonfire Night at the award-winning Combermere Abbey, Whitchurch, Cheshire, hidden on the border between Shropshire and Cheshire.
Founded by Benedictine monks in 1133, the estate, with its exceptional landscape, lake and woodlands has provided more than 800 years of inspiration for those searching for peace and tranquillity. With this much history, it’s not surprising to learn that the Abbey comes with a certain amount of mystery too!
Fireside ghost stories and tales of the Abbey’s amazing history were led by Merryn Myatt, popular former presenter from TV’s Northwest Tonight. There was also a short tour of the Abbey.
Artisan Wines revealed their award winning wines during a wine tasting; adding to the wines & spirits present!
The event was by kind permission of Mrs Sarah Callander-Beckett.
