Sausages go out with a BANG at Food & Drink Festival
Of the 5 million people a day and 90% of households eating sausages around Britain 20,000 of them are expected at Chester Food & Drink Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend. Joe Wright, Chef at Sandiway Golf Club cooks up his big bangers for the sausage seminar & tasting.
More sausages are eaten on Saturday than any other day of the week, 44% for an evening meal rather than 18% for breakfast. The British public spend £600 million on 266,500 tonnes of sausages a year of which there are 470 different types.
Chester Food & Drink Festival is on over the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend. Celebrity chefs are cooking up something special, with lots of demonstrations and competitions in the massive Taste Marquee.
