Jonathan and Abigail won the competition organised by Cheshire County Council through all the schools in Cheshire to find the best, healthy recipe in junior and high schools respectively. Jonathan attends Christleton Primary school and Abigail Vernon High school in Winsford.

Sausages go out with a BANG at Food & Drink Festival Of the 5 million people a day and 90% of households eating sausages around Britain 20,000 of them are expected at Chester Food & Drink Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend. Joe Wright, Chef at Sandiway Golf Club cooks up his big bangers for the sausage seminar & tasting. More sausages are eaten on Saturday than any other day of the week, 44% for an evening meal rather than 18% for breakfast. The British public spend £600 million on 266,500 tonnes of sausages a year of which there are 470 different types. Chester Food & Drink Festival is on over the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend. Celebrity chefs are cooking up something special, with lots of demonstrations and competitions in the massive Taste Marquee.
