Business Professionals Win Money for Charity at 'Casino Royale'
Chester born James Bond, Daniel Craig would have felt at home playing roulette and black jack at a casino event in Chester. The city’s glitterati turned out to raise thousands of pounds for charity at The Groves at Souters Lane near the River Dee.
More than 120 business professionals working in and around the city raised more than £2,000. All the proceeds were donated to Claire House Children’s Hospice.
AMS Business Sales, based in Watergate Street, Chester organised the annual event and the excited gamblers for the night exchanged their donations for fun money. The prize-fund was split between the winning Mr Bond and Ms Bond, winners of the most money on the tables.
Adrian Ward, managing director of AMS who organised the casino evening, said: “The event was lots of fun and most importantly of all a substantial amount of money was raised for charity. We take our business money very seriously as we demonstrate to our clients across the UK when selling their business. AMS has recently celebrated the best financial year yet. Everyone really enjoyed having fun with their “Casino Royale’ money. Thanks to everyone who came to support us.”
