Ashley tours the Emirates

Sports mad directors at small business invoice finance specialists Ashley Commercial Finance dreamt of playing in front of a 60,000 capacity audience on a recent visit to Arsenal F.C.’s state-of-the-art Emirates Stadium. Ashley sponsored tours of the recently completed Gunners ground at the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) AGM, Conference and Gala Dinner, where delegates had the opportunity to sit in Arsene Wenger’s seat in the dug out and envisage masterminding an Arsenal victory.

More than 50 delegates at the London Conference enjoyed the tours around the £390 million Stadium throughout the day, which included jostling their way down the player’s tunnel onto the hallowed turf and also inspecting the changing rooms where superstars such as Thierry Henry transform into sporting legends.

A champagne reception was followed by the Gala Dinner, where guest speaker 1966 World Cup hero Sir Geoff Hurst continued the football theme.

Cheadle based Ashley is a Patron of the NACFB and Operations Director of Ashley Commercial Finance, Jayne Merriman, said:

“Ashley placed their stand at the Conference which was an excellent opportunity for members of the NACFB to see our re-branded “Ashley man.’ The tour allowed access to behind the scenes areas at the Arsenal stadium. Delegates imagined themselves as player managers as they were shown around the ground! I know they really enjoyed the tour.”

Nikki Cann, Associate NACFB Operations and Communications Director, added:

“Members had a thoroughly informative day at the Conference and we would like to thank Ashley Commercial Finance for sponsoring the tours.”

Ashley Commercial Finance is a truly independent invoice finance company, with no ties to banks or other financial institutions. Ashley provides invoice finance for the smaller business (including start ups and turnarounds) across England and Wales. Ashley has offices in Manchester, London, Leeds and Bristol. The company has almost 200 clients with turnovers between £50,000 and £1.5 million. They range from printers to road haulage companies, recruitment agencies to taxi firms, recycling companies to IT organisations.

Ashley provides ongoing finance for a business at up to 90% of the value of a client’s sales ledger, which, coupled with professional credit control, makes invoice finance an attractive option for a growing business and a smarter alternative to an overdraft. As the facility is based on a percentage of turnover, the funding available grows with the business. Ashley’s independence and lack of bureaucracy means that funding can be in place for new clients to draw down within 24 hours of receiving sales invoices and at the lowest minimum fee. Full Online Account Access enables clients to obtain account information 24 hours a day.

Unlike many other invoice finance companies, Ashley allows clients to choose which accounts they factor, thus avoiding paying unnecessary fees.

In response to client demand, Ashley launched an asset finance facility in June 2005. This is available for anything from computers, telephone systems and office equipment, through to company vehicles, yellow plant and machinery.
