Business blossoms at city centre hotel

Champagne corks were popping as The Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel celebrated its first birthday and significant business growth over the last year. Chester’s oldest hotel, which dates back to the 1400’s, underwent a three million pound investment a year ago. Cutting costs - 21 steps to recruitment

Did you know there are 21 steps for full-time recruitment and 17 to recruit a temp? Chester’s longest established recruitment firm The Business Connection does and has produced a 21 step guide to help employers recruit successfully. The guide outlines the stages needed step-by-step and calculates it would take employers an average of 31 hours and 15 minutes to recruit one candidate, which includes planning, screening ad responses, assessment and selection. Employers can, however, save hours of time and cut costs by using The Business Connection, who can reduce the time taken by employers to recruit candidates by more than 25 hours, thereby cutting costs to their business.

A UK based marketing and PR consultancy. Specialists in the information technology (IT) sector, public relations and fast growth SMEs. Marketing Projects ‘fired-up’ in May 1995. In 1997, the business was named ‘Chester New Business of the Year’ for ‘its growth, reputation and use of new technology’. In 1999 it won an award for its use of technology and its e-commerce web site from part of the DTI. An award sponsored by BT, NatWest, Compaq and others. In February 2000, Marketing Projects opened a London office in St George’s Street, Mayfair in London. This office is a convenient meeting point for clients, editors and journalists.
